Parents bring their babies, toddlers or preschoolers to a community venue where the Rocking Horse Music program is presented by one of our music specialists on a weekly basis during school terms.

The "heart" of our program is to lay the foundations of basic musicianship in a developmentally appropriate, playful, engaging and educational manner using the active music-making approaches of Kodaly, Orff & Dalcroze.
Our classes include:
- a developmental approach for babies, toddlers& preschoolers
- children with special needs
- a range of methods including Kodaly, Orff and Dalcroze
- a repertoire of rhymes, songs, multi-sensory experiences, movement, dance, percussion, singing games, song-stories, lullabies, relaxation rounds and transition songs.
- a sense of beat, rhythm, pitch, tempo, dynamics, timbre, form, texture and style
- selection of high quality pedagogical, multicultural, seasonal, celebratory and thematic material for children
- exploration of percussion instruments
- improvisation & creativity
- a weekly session focus & follow-up material
- a process approach with clear learning outcomes
